Clifton “Chip” Branham Jr., age 61, of Okeechobee, Fla., passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, in the Hamrick Home Hospice.

He was born March 22, 1951, in Martin. Mr Branham moved to Okeechobee in 1972, from Wheelwright, and was a member of the Point of Light fellowship Church and the Moose Lodge. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed every aspect of the game.

Mr. Branham was preceded in death by parents, Clifton Sr. and Cora Branham; brother, Michael Branham; and grandson, Caleb Austin Nelson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Debbie Branham, of Okeechobee, Fla.; daughter, Kimberly Nelson (Billy), of Crossville, Tenn.; son, Christopher Branham (Michelle), of Okeechobee, Fla.; four grandchildren, Savanna Nelson, Bryce Nelson, Brady Nelson and Carter Branham; four brothers, Ira (Bo) Branham, of Stanton, Daryl Branham (Christine) and Ronnie Branham (Racheal), of Bevinsville, and Laryl Branham (Elliouse), of Wheelwright; and two sisters, Arkie Williams (Don) and Alka McNutt (Jim), of Battle Creek, Mich.

Services were held on Monday, Jan. 7, at the Buxton Funeral Home Chapel, in Okeechobee, Fla., with Pastor Eddie Woodham officiating. A private family graveside service was held on Tuesday, Jan. 8, at the Evergreen Cemetery.
