Charles “Dommer” Stanton Bailey, age 79 of Langley, husband of Faye Bentley Bailey, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at the St. Joseph-Martin.
He was born July 31, 1933, in Martin, the son of the late Haskel and Area Prater Bailey. He was a coal miner and a member of the American Legion and UMWA.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Bentley Bailey; a son, Charles David Bailey, of Lexington; a daughter, Terri Susan Bailey, of Langley; a brother, Arnold Bailey, of Hueysville; a sister, Liz Allen, of Allen; three grandchildren, Eden, Chris and Josh; and two great grandchildren
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James Edward Bailey.
Funeral services for Charles “Dommer” Bailey were held Thursday, Sept. 20, in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, in Martin, with Nathan Thomas officiating. Burial followed in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, at Ivel.
