Joann Harvey Runyon, 66, of Banner, died Aug. 30, 2012, in her residence.

She was born Sept. 17, 1945, at Honaker, to the late Bill and Josie Conn Harvey. She was married to John Runyon, was a customer service manager for Wal-Mart and was a member of the Prestonsburg Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, McKinley Harvey, Eddie Harvey, Freddie Harvey, Howard Harvey, Paris Harvey, Eulaeen Jones and Goldie Harvey

She is survived by a son, John B. (Sherry) Runyon II; brothers, Ercel Harvey, of Ypsilanti, Mich., Charles Harvey, of New London, Ohio, Bobby Harvey, of Onsted, Mich., and Eddie Harvey, of Honaker; a sister, Genevive Akers, of Banner; and two grandchildren, William and Abigail.

Services were held Sunday, Sept. 2, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Shane Powers officiating. Burial followed in the Bill Harvey Cemetery, at Honaker.
