Russell Wallen Jr., 82, of Dwale, husband of Sarah Meade Wallen, died Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Highlands Regional Medical Center.

Born Dec. 15, 1929, at Bull Creek, to the late Russell and Della Lafferty Wallen, he was a retired salesman for Flav-O-Rich.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Wendell (Linda) Wallen, Johnny Wallen and Dale Wallen, all of Dwale, Joe (Sandy) Wallen, of Frankfort, Della (Wayne) Littrell, of Lexington, and Rita Wallen, of Frankfort; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Russell Wallen Jr. will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, July 22, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Roy Harlow officiating. Burial will follow in Davidson Memorial Gardens, at Ivel.

Visitation will take place after 6 p.m., Saturday, July 22, at the funeral home.
