Born July 13, 1941, in Endicott, he was the son of the late Johnny W. and Irene McCoy Crider. He was an auto parts salesman for Music Carter Hughes and Advance Auto Parts.
Survivors include a son, Billy Lou Crider II of Prestonsburg; four brothers: Astor Ray (Dickie) Crider and Johnnie W. Crider, Jr., both of Endicott, Palmer Jack Crider of Van Lear, and Jimmy Crider of West Virginia; two sisters: Sidney Priselac of Merit Island, Florida and Peggy King of McHenry, Illinois; two grandchildren: Mallory Anne Ousley and Joshua Wayne Johnson, both of Prestonsburg; and two great-grandchildren: Weston Tyler Johnson and Austin Scott Little, both of Prestonsburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melody Lynn Crider and a brother, Joe Francis Crider.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, September 14, at 2 p.m., at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Bill Collins officiating.
Burial was in Davidson Memorial Gardens, in Ivel.
Visitation was Sunday, September 12, after 6 p.m., at the funeral home.
Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, was in charge of arrangements.
