Mary Margaret Hyden Clark, 85, wife of the late Edford L. Clark, Sr., departed this life on June 28, 2010.

She was born on February 25, 1925, in West Prestonsburg, a daughter of Joe Kendall Hyden and Nora Ellen Allen. She, along with her husband, were members of the Presbyterian Church of Prestonsburg.

She and her husband ran the Martin Drug Store in Martin, for over 30 years, retiring in 1989. She also worked in Baltimore during WW II for the Glen L. Martin factory, welding bombers.

She is survived by a daughter, Nora L. “Tish” Clark (Harold Cooley) and a son, Edford L. “Eddy” Clark, Jr. (Robin), both of Prestonsburg; two grandchildren: Mary Caitlin Clark of Lexington and Cameron Taylor Clark of Prestonsburg, and a brother, Allen Lee “Atch” Hyden of Culloden, West Virginia. She was cared for by Charlene Jarrell, Janet Barry, Tammy Stewart and Katrina Eckard whose hel;p and care during her illness are much appreciated as it allowed her to remain at home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Clark; two sisters: Lucille O. Davis and Gertrude H. Branham and three brothers: Joe Tayor Hyden, Tom Kit Hyden, and John Rice Hyden.

Visitaiton will be at Hall Funeral Home in Martin, on Wednesday, from 5:00 to 10:00, with the funeral on Thursday, at 1:00 in the Hall Chapel.

Burial will follow at the family cemetery on Osborn Branch, Prestonsburg.
