Helen P. Ison age 87 of Martin, passed away Friday, April 24, 2009, at the Pikeville Medical Center.

She was born January 10, 1922, in Hellier, the daughter of the late James P. and Cindy Case Price.

She was a retired executive director of housing, and a member of the Community United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Ison.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn (James) Stout of Prestonsburg; her grandchildren: John Steven (Heather Lynn) Stout and Lesley Anne Stout; and a great-grandchild, Abigail Faith Stout.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James S. Ison; her brothers: Bert Earl, Charles Augustus, James, and Haskell Price; and two sisters: Irene and Pauline Price.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 26, at 2:00 p.m., in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, in Martin, with Glenn “Sandy” Douglas officiating.

Burial was in the Davidson Memorial Gardens in Ivel, under the professional care of Hall Funeral Home.

Visitation was at the funeral home.
