U.S. Rep. Hal Rogers
Willard Hackworth, 79, of South Whitley, Ind., died Wednesday June 26, 2013 at his daughters residence in North Manchester Ind. He was born February 21, 1934, in Prestonsburg to the late Brady Hackworth and Glatha Shepherd Hackworth.
He was the widow of Ann R. Meadows.
Willard was a farmer and retired after 30 years from Manchester Foundry. He also worked with his brother-in-law at the Meadows Well Drilling.
He is survived by his sons: David (Sheila) Hackworth of Silver Lake, Ind., Jerry (Debbie Gilbert) Hackworth of Mentone, Ind.; daughters: Luci (Wayne) Staton of North Manchester, Ind., and Christine (Rick) Manns of Akron, Ind.; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 29, 2:00 p.m. at the McKee Mortuary in North Manchester, Ind. with the Rev. Craig Arnett officiating. Burial will follow the service at South Whitley Cemetery.
