BEREA – The KIAC released the Men’s Golf All-Conference Team, Player of the Year, Comeback Player of the Year and Coach of the Year honorees on Wednesday. Alice Lloyd College standout Andrew (Drew) Riley, a junior from Huntington, W.Va., has been named to the All-KIAC Team.

Riley joined the ALC golf team after playing 2 1/2 years of baseball for college’s baseball team. He has been a dedicated and consistent golfer all season. During his three matches this spring, Riley was in contention for the top 5 low medalist honor and the fact that he received the All-Conference selection at the KIAC Tournament in Gibson Bay only shows his sacrifices and hard work this year.

In the tournament, Riley shot scores of 78-81-80 in his three rounds for a total score of 239, which led him to picking up the All-Conference honors.

“Coach Hamilton and I would like to express how much Drew means to this team,” ALC Coach Nicholas Adams said. “We respect the time and hard work that he has put into this year and can’t wait to see what potential is unlocked for next season.”

KIAC Tournament individual medalist Steven Brooks of Asbury was named the Men’s Golf Player of the Year. Brooks shot rounds of 74-71-73 to finish in the top spot at Gibson Bay Golf Course in Richmond.

Cincinnati Christian sophomore Adam Noah was named the Conference Comeback Player of the Year.

Indiana University East head coach Von Ebeling was named the KIAC Coach of the Year. The Red Wolves finished ahead of 10 of 19 opponents this spring, the best percentage of opponents defeated in the program’s NAIA history.
