Imogene Mitchell, age 84, of Grethel, widow of Earl “Hi” Mitchell, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 2, 1928, at Craynor., a daughter of the late Asa and Mae Tackett Howell. She was a homemaker and attended the Old Regular Baptist Church.
She is survived by five daughters, Donna Sue (Carter) King, of Teaberry, Brenda (Roy) Bogar, Sharon (Larry) Jarvis and Regina (Greg) Stanley, all of Grethel, and Tammy (Russ) Ruchrwein, of Milford, Ohio; three sisters, Opal Boyd, of Olbetz, Ohio, Lorette Miller, of Pataskala, Ohio, and Joanna Roop; of Radnor, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Mark, Stuart, BJ, Collin, Clay, Kelli, Natalie, Jamie and Jerri; and five great grandchildren, Brandt, Hannah, Alexis, Elijah and Kendall.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Enoch James Mitchell; two brothers, Willie and Donald Howell; two sisters, Lois Mitchell and Margie Howel; and a grandson, Logan Stanley.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 9, in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, in Martin, with Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery, at Grethel.
Visitation will be held after 6 p.m., Tuesday, and all day, Wednesday, under the kind and professional care of the Hall Funeral Home, in Martin.
