GARRETT - Allen Central Middle School pitcher Steven Howard continued to dominate batters Monday. Howard, one of the top young pitchers in the 15th Region, pitched his second no-hitter of the season. The dominant Howard pitched Allen Central to a 5-0 win over the visiting team from Pike County Central.

Howard was strong throughout the game, racking up 10 strikeouts on his way to recording the no-hitter. The Allen Central Middle School hurler struck out the side in the first and fourth innings.

Following a scoreless first inning, Allen Central manufactured two runs in the second inning. The two runs would prove to be all Allen Central would need as Howard kept controlling Pike County batters.

Allen Central scored one run in the third inning and two more in the fourth.

Jesse Brown led the Allen Central offense with a double and a single. Howard, Cameron Nelson, Chris Brown, Devon Robinson and Matt Osborne each scored a run for the Rebels.

Nelson and Robinson each had a double for the Allen Central Middle School team.
