Jonah Coal Varney, infant, of Green Cove Springs, Fla., died Friday, March 8, 2013, at the Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park, Fla.


Jonah, son of Chad and Heather (Stevens) Varney, formerly of Harold, was born Friday morning, March 8, 2013. He passed later that day in the loving arms of his parents.


In addition to his parents, Jonah is survived by his grandparents, Joie and Teresa Stevens, of Harold, Allen Varney, of Raccoon, and Janie Varney, of Raccoon; great-grandparents, Betty May, of Pikeville, and Dolly Stevens, of Harold; aunts and uncles, Ashley and Brian McCoy, of Raccoon, Brandy and Brent Tackett, of Pikeville, Stacey Elliott, of Ivel, Matt and Savannah Stevens, of Pikeville; and seven cousins.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, at the Pikeville Freewill Baptist Church. in Pikeville, with Jim Patton officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery, Funeral Home and Cremation Center, of Green Cove Springs, Fla.
