Wilson named NAIA Scholar-Athlete

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 134 student-athletes have been named 2012 -13 Daktronics-NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Scholar-Athletes. Hastings (Neb.) finished with the most athletes recognized on the list with seven. For Alice Lloyd College, junior basketball standout Isaac Wilson was named to this prestigious group.
Student-athletes are nominated by their institution’s head coach and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status in order to qualify for the honor.
Wilson, a native of Corbin and a graduate of Corbin High School, currently maintains an outstanding 3.9 GPA at ALC where he is a Math major. On the hardwood, Wilson was second on the ALC men’s basketball team in scoring with a 12.3 points per game average. He also averaged 2.3 assists per outing during his junior season.
Wilson is the son of Deco and Sandy Wilson.
