P’burg competes in Mason-Dixon Games

LOUISVILLE - The Prestonsburg High School track and field program participated in the Mason-Dixon Games held on Saturday at Broadbent Arena.Prestonsburg competed in Class AA. The tradition-rich Mason-Dixon Games serve as the indoor state championship.

Several PHS track and field athletes turned in school and personal records during the state indoor meet.

Prestonsburg runner Catherine Tincher placed fifth in the 60 meter hurdles with a new school record. She also placed sixth in the 60 meter dash with a new school record.

Logan Hall set a new school record in the 60 meter dash

Austin Bertrand turned in a new personal record in the 800 meter run.

Steven Perry recorded a new personal in the shot put event.

The Prestonsburg High School track and field program is under the direction of veteran head coach Dewey Jamerson.

Prestonsburg will open its outdoor season on March 28 with a meet in Pikeville.
