Charles Ray Slone

Charles Ray Slone, 61, of Betsy Layne, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 2, 1952, in Floyd County to the late Charles and Nancy Howell Slone. He was the husband of the late Rena McKinney Slone and a disabled coal miner.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Buster Slone, and a sister, Mary Ellen Wright.
He is survived by two sons, Bobby Ray (Tureem) Slone and Charles Andrew Slone, both of Betsy Layne; two daughters, Kristina E. Slone, of Betsy Layne, and Serita Mullins, of Pikeville; three brothers, Willie Slone and Bobby D. Slone, both of Betsy Layne, and Walter Slone, of Blue River; four sisters, Mary Jane Gross, Loraine Clardy and Margaret Kashett, all of Michigan, and Jene Burke, of Columbus, Ohio; a grandchild, Aiden Jasper Slone; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 3, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin. Burial followed the service in Davidson Memorial Gardens, at Ivel.
