Luther Hamilton, 78, of Teaberry, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at UK Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 21, 1934, in Floyd County, to the late Harvey and Judy Belle Hall Hamilton. He was the husband of the late Sally Johnson Hamilton and the late Roberta Hamilton.

He was a coal miner and a minister of the Pilgrims Home Old Regular Baptist Church, at Teaberry.

He is survived by his children, Verl Hamilton (Bonnie Faye Akers), Ledis (Bertha) Hamilton, Wilburn Hamilton, Lilly (Ray) Curry and Donna (Duane) Hamilton, all of Teaberry, Cledis (Carolyn) Hamilton, of Sevierville, Tenn., and Dee (Terry) Templin, of Pikeville; four step children; 10 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a host of step grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Pilgrims Home Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial followed the service in the Allard Hamilton Cemetery, at Teaberry.

Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, of Martin, was in charge of arrangements.
