Madge Cox Boggs, age 92, of Garrett, widow of Will Boggs, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Hazard ARH Hospital.
She was born June 27, 1920, at Garrett, a daughter of the late Melvin and Rosha Martin Cox. She was the owner and operator of B&C Hardware for more than 50 years and member of Montgomery Baptist Church, at Carrie.
Madge is survived by a son, Robert S. Boggs, of Leitchfield; a daughter, Sharon Boggs, of Hindman; a sister, Garnett Moore, of Martin; four grandchildren, Brian Boggs, Chris Boggs, Michael Boggs and M. Patrick Conley; and five grandchildren, Matthew Boggs, Amanda Boggs, Everett Boggs, Carter Boggs and Zoe Conley.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Cox.
Funeral services for Madge Cox Boggs were held Saturday, Feb. 23, in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, in Martin, with Max Slone officiating. Burial followed in the Martin Cemetery, at Eastern.
