Eurie Tackett, 69, of Beaver, died Monday January 14, 2013. He was born December 29, 1943 in Floyd County to the late Hampton and Myrtle Nunnery Tackett. He was a retired coal miner and he made peace with God in November.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: Aaron Tackett, Azzle Tackett & Hasel Tackett; three sisters: Gettie Tackett, Ocie Paige and Sylvia Tackett and five infants and one grandson: Greg Perry.

He is survived by two sons: Adam Tackett & Eric Tackett both of Beaver; one daughter: Sheila Tackett of Martin; two brothers: Jay Tackett of Columbus, Ohio, Robert Lewis Tackett of Beaver; one sister: Beatrice Tackett of Beaver; grandchildren: Aston, Grayson, Brittany & Laiki.

Funeral services were held Thursday January 17, 2013 at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Martin with Dr. David Warren and Glen Hayes officiating. Burial followed the service at Elliott Cemetery in Beaver.
