Alice Boyd, 87, of Banner, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Pikeville Medical Center.

She was born April 22, 1925, in Floyd County to the late Willie Tack and Lizzie Case Hall. She was the wife of Samuel Boyd. Alice was a homemaker and a member of the Little Dove Old Regular Baptist Church, at Harold.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Curt Hall, Walker Hall and Vardie Hall, and two sisters, Margie Hunter and Zinnie Collins.

She is survived by two sons, Earnie Boyd, of Prestonsburg, and Harold (Becky) Boyd, of Banner; a daughter, Susan (David) Conn, of Dana; five brothers, R.B. Hall, of New London, Ohio, Earl Hall, of Banner, Carl C. Hall, of Betsy Layne, Kadous Hall, of Floyd County, and Billy Hall, of Virgie; six grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 14, at Little Salem Old Regular Baptist Church, at Dana. Burial followed the service at Brayden Cemetery, at Banner.

Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, of Martin, was in charge of arrangements.
