PRESTONSBURG — Recently, the Floyd County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Mia Italiano’s restaurant in Prestonsburg.

Mia Italiano is located in the Glyn View Plaza next to Cato. The restaurant is decorated by local artist Tina Butcher bringing an authentic Tuscan ambiance to the dining experience. Owned by P.D. Pelphrey and Kristen Greer, Mia Italiano Restaurant offers authentic Italian cuisine, using Kristen’s very own recipes. The servers are friendly and the restaurant offers free wireless internet to customers

The menu includes classic pastas like spaghetti and fettuccine with marinara, alfredo or meat sauce. Mia Italiano also has a variety of items including chicken marsala, steak parmesan, stuffed mushrooms, calamari and cheesecakes.

Co-owner Kristen Greer had wanted to own a restaurant since she learned to cook at age 9. It is the goal of both owners and the staff to bring great food with a great atmosphere to Eastern Kentucky.

Mia Italiano is open Wednesdays and Thursdays, noon to 9:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturdaysm noon to 10 p.m.; and Sundays, noon to 5 p.m. The restaurant is closed Mondays & Tuesdays
