James C. “Jimbo” Bailey, age 62, of Langley, husband of Toni Ann Meade Bailey, passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Highlands Regional Medical Center, in Prestonsburg.

He was born Jan. 12, 1950 at Lackey, the son of the late Sidney E. and Marcella Rowe Bailey. He was a member of the Graceway United Methodist Church, the John W. Hall Masonic Lodge, and the Maytown Fire Dept.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, James Shawn (Sara) Bailey, of Shelby, and their children, Makenna Reece and Aubree Kaitlyn Bailey, and Christopher O’Neil (Katie) Bailey, of Langley, and their children, Emma Kathryn Bailey and Ava Kristyn Bailey; a sister, Sidney Jane Bailey; a niece, Suzanne Elizabeth Smith; and his mother-in-law, Betty W. Meade.

Memorial services for James C. “Jimbo” Bailey will be conducted at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 23, at the Graceway United Methodist Church, at Langley, with Roy Harlow officiating. A Masonic service will be held prior to the memorial service at the church, with the Hall Funeral Home caring for those arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass Mountain Rivers or the American Cancer Society.
