Maycel Davis, 87, of Allen, KY, died Friday October 12, 2012 at her residence. She was born October 29, 1924 in Brethitt County to the late William and Arizona Keith Dunaway. She was the wife of the late Wayne Davis. Maycel was a homemaker wife and mother and member of Praise Assembly of God Church, Prestonsburg, KY

She was preceded in death by her brothers: Genntry Dunaway, William Dunaway Jr. Nick Dunaway, Virgil Dunaway & Orville Dunaway.

She is survived by daughters: Linda (Freddy II) James, Waynette Davis & Ocie Ann (Glenn David) May; Grandchildren: David Allen Layne II, Freddy Allen James III, Glenn David May II, Brett Davis James & Whitney Ann May; Great Grandchildren: Abby James, Trey Layne, Anna James, Haley James, Sydney May, A.J. James, Mallory May & Brody James; Sisters: Pauline Hughes, Faye Fugate & Verna Casey; Brothers: Dillard Dunaway.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Praise Assembly of God Church, Prestonsburg, Kentucky with J.M. Sloce officiating. Burial followed the service at Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
