Jane Salmons, age 91, of Caney Fork of Middle Creek, Blue River, widow of Berlie B. Salmons, passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Pikeville Medical Center.
She was born April 12, 1921, at (Buckeye) Blue River, a daughter of the late Hi and Kitty Bradley Prater. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Rufis (Sue) Salmons, of Eastern, and William David (Dee) Salmons, of Lawrenceburg; five daughters, Joan (Ruby) Watts, of Lawrenceburg, Mazola Salmons, of Blue River, Fredia (David) Rasnick, of Pikeville, Judy Salmons, of Lexington, and Kimberly (David) Crisp, of Martin; two sisters, Mary Coe, of Wabash, Ind., and Laudy B. Reffitt, of Blue River; 12 grandchildren, Christopher Salmons, Steven Salmons, Brian Watts, Scott Watts, Tirzah Ocheltree, Shane Salmons, Erin Salmons, Rachel Rasnick, Matthew Rasnick, David “Rocky” Crisp, Wyatt Crisp and Micca Ratliff; and, eight great grandchildren, Wesley Salmons, Scottie Watts, Daniel Watts, Abigail Jane Watts, Eli Ocheltree, Shiloh Salmons, Braden Salmons and Kaydence Ratliff.
In addition to her husband and parents, Jane was preceded in death by a son, Elic Salmons.
Funeral service were conducted Monday, Oct. 8, in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, with Ruby Watts and John George Blackburn officiating. Burial followed in Davidson Memorial Gardens, at Ivel.
