PIKEVILLE – The University of Pikeville was outshot 17-0 on Saturday night and fell to Campbellsville University 3-0 in a men’s soccer game at Bob Amos Park.

Campbellsville had 37 shots in the contest, 17 of which were on goal. Pikeville senior keeper Sheldon Thomas turned away 14, but the Tigers managed more than enough.

The Tigers led 2-0 at halftime, getting an unassisted goal in the 40th minute from Trevor Jarvis and, just before the half, Roraigh Yearwood found the net off a pass from Nathan Sahota.

In the second half, John Kennedy scored when Pontus Yngve found him for the goal.

Pikeville will be back in action on Wednesday night when it plays host to Bluefield College for a Mid-South Conference doubleheader. The Pikeville women will play the Rams at 4 p.m. with the men’s teams from the two schools playing at 6.
