PRESTONSBURG — A popular spot for breakfast-seekers was closed Thurday morning, following an early-morning fire.
As the sun crested over the mountains, the smell of the recent burning still hung heavy in the air around Hardee’s, the popular fast food chain.
The Hardee’s on North Lake Drive was still closed as of 9 a.m Thursday, following a minor fire in the store. The store manager told The Times that she expected the closure of the store to only last a matter of hours while they clean up.
Due in part to its proximity to the Prestonsburg High School, Hardee’s typically enjoys a robust breakfast rush.
