South Floyd blanks P’burg, wins second straight

PRESTONSBURG - The South Floyd volleyball team notched its second straight win Tuesday evening, toppling host Prestonsburg 3-0 at the Fieldhouse.

Prevailing in three straight sets, Prestonsburg won 25-11, 25-15, 25-15.

South Floyd improved to 11-6 after posting the win.

Recent MaxPreps Kentucky Player of the Week Joslyn Issac continued to lead South Floyd. Isaac paced South Floyd with 14 kills,four aces and three blocks.

Several South Floyd players contributed to the win. Kaitlin Daniels added seven kills and three blocks for the Lady Raiders. Other contributors for South Floyd in the 58th District/Floyd County Conference contest were Jonna Isaac (two kills, seven assists, four aces), Molly Tucker (one kill, two aces) and Brandi Stumbo (nine assists, two aces).

South Floyd was visiting Allen Central Thursday evening. The South Floyd-Allen Central match ended too late to make this edition.
