CINCINNATI - The Alice Lloyd College volleyball team, under the guidance of coaches Jason Stowers and Jolene Watts, opened up the season on Saturday by traveling north to face Cincinnati Clermont University for two games. ALC dropped a pair of matches to the Cincinnati squad.
Cincinnati Clermont blanked Alice Lloyd in back-to-back matchg - 3-0 (25-11, 25-9, 25-13); 3-0 (25-12, 25-13, 25-14).
For ALC, senior Rebekah Bevins (Chapmanville, W.Va.) and sophomore Katie McFarland (Church Hill, Tenn.) were singled out for their solid contributions at the net and in the middle. Freshman Breanna Goble (Paintsville) recorded many impressive kills for the Lady Eagles.
