BETSY LAYNE - Betsy Layne continued to win on its new turf field Friday night, cruising past Floyd County rival Allen Central 51-8.


Betsy Layne controlled the contest from the opening kickoff, amassing 475 yards of total offense en route to the win.


The Bobcats rushed for 367 total yards.


Betsy Layne featured two backs with over 100 yards rushing during its latest outing. Senior Josh Salisbury led Betsy Layne on the ground, rushing six times for 107 yards and two touchdowns. Houston Hall rushed a team-high eight times for 103 yards and one score.


Quarterback Dylan Hamilton, Charles Daniels, Kelby Kisor, Preston Thacker and Tanner Martin also rushed for positive yardage in Betsy Layne’s convincing victory. Martin added a five-yard touchdown scamper for the Bobcats.


Hamilton was accurate through the air, completing eight-of-11 passes for 108 yards and three touchdowns.


Spreading the football around, Hamilton hooked up with five different receivers. Peyton Case led Betsy Layne in receiving, reeling in three receptions for 50 yards and two touchdowns. Houston Hall and Charles Daniels also had one scoring reception each for the Bobcats.


Defensively, Hall led Betsy Layne with a team-high 17 tackles. Blake Spencer followed, adding 16 tackles for the Bobcats.


Blake Boudle posted 10 tackles for Betsy Layne in the win.


Dustin Rogers added an interception for the Bobcats.


The Rebels, who remained winless, slipped to 0-3.


Betsy Layne will be back in action this Friday night, visiting Knott County Central.


Allen Central will visit Paintsville that same night.
