Charlotte R. Cooper, age 86 of Prestonsburg, passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at her residence.

She was born Dec. 24, 1925, at Banner, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Compton Hall. She was a homemaker.

Charlotte is survived by two daughters, Sandra Elizabeth Kunce and Pamela Jean Meyer, both of Blue River; a daughter-in-law, Ottie Rice, of Blue River; a sister, Berdella Hess, of Miami, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Richard Kunce Jr., Brian Kunce, Denise Lillie, Kristin Thomas, Emily Meyer, Alisha Meyer Kloppenburg, Willis Hal Rice, Stephanie Campbell and Charles Lee Rice; 18 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her first husband, Willis “Burr” Rice; second husband, Charles Cooper; a son, Willis Hal Rice; a brother, Trenton Hall; and a sister, Ruth Helen Trezona.

There will be a private family service held for Charlotte R. Cooper at a later date.
