Brenda Kay Howell, age 59, of Richmond, passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at the Pattie A. Clay Hospital, in Richmond.

She was born Sept. 29, 1952, in Martin, the daughter of Mary Howell Mosley and the late Johnny Howell.

In addition to her mother, Brenda is survived by a daughter, Crystal (Kevin) Picklesimer, of Richmond; three step-brothers, Gary (Beverly) Mosley, Dennis (Cheri) Mosley and Freddie (Colleen) Mosley; six sisters, Dottie (Carmel) Newman, of Grethel, Linda Sue (Wendell) McCoy, of Richmond, Anna Rose (Bill) Jenkins, of Lynchburg, Va., Carol Lynn McGlothen, of Printer, Beverly Faye (Jeff) Hall, of Lexington, and Kimberly (Kenny) Little, of Wheelwright; a step-sister, Kathy Witty; and five grandchildren, Matt, Jeremy, Christopher, Noah and Haley.

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Howell, and a sister, Katherine Howell.

Funeral services for Brenda Kay Howell were held Sunday, Aug. 26, in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, in Martin, with Chuck Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Newman Cemetery, at Hi Hat.
