Imogene Hammonds Branham, 82, of Prestonsburg, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at Prestonsburg Health Care.

She was born May 5, 1930, to the late Charles “Bear” and Kate Wallen Hammonds. She was the wife of the late Ray Branham, worked as a homemaker, and was a member of the Kentucky Homemakers Association.

She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Rita Branham, and a brother, Tom Roe Hammonds.

She is survived by her children, Eugene (Mary) Branham, Roy L. Branham, Curtis Dee, (Rhonda) Branham, Belinda Raye (Henry) Risner, Maggie Kaye (Tim) Banks and Connie Faye (Steve) Estep, all of Prestonsburg, and Tillie Jo (William) Hinchman, of Ivel; three sisters, Joan Hatfield, of Ulysses, Cathy Goble, of Ivel, and Elizabeth Isaac, of Prestonsburg; 18 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 20, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, with Bobby Joe Spencer officiating. Burial followed the service at Branham Family Cemetery in Prestonsburg.

Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, of Martin, was in charge of arrangements.
