Edna Cleo Vasvary, 98, of Bevinsville, widow of Alex Vasvary, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at Central Baptist Hospital.

Born June 3, 1914, in Whitwell, Tenn., to the late Lily Angeline Smith and John Dillard Rainey, she was a homemaker and a member of Burton Pentecostal Church, at Bypro.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary Ann Isaacs, of Nicholasville, and Margaret Sue Wrey and Carol Ruth Vasvary, both of Bevinsville; two sisters, Jean Deloris Moore, of Lexington, and Ruth Rainey, of Bevinsville; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by William Gable Vasvary and Howard Vasvary.

Funeral services for Edna Cleo Vasvary will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Lewis Sandlin officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckingham Cemetery, at Bevinsville.

Visitation will take place after 6 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Burton Pentecostal Church, at Bypro.

Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, is in charge of arrangements.
