William “Bill” Paul Mitchell, age 83 of Prestonsburg, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at the Highlands Regional Medical Center, in Prestonsburg.

He was born March 29, 1929, in Hellier, the son of the late Bryan W. and Dora Bell Roberts Mitchell. He attended the Fitzpatrick Baptist Church, in Prestonsburg.

He is survived by four nephews, Michael D. Vance, of Prestonsburg, Daniel C. Vance, of Melvin, Brian Lee Moore, of Lexington, and Jon Kevin Moore, of Lexington; a niece, Theresa Jean Moore, of Lexington; and a host of great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by two sisters, Blanche Louise Vance and Ruth Moore.

Funeral services for William “Bill” Paul Mitchell will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 16, in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, in Martin, with Tommy Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, at Ivel.
