MSPR to give away tickets to Mandolin Farm Bluegrass Festival

MOREHEAD — Morehead State Public Radio (WMKY 90.3 FM) wants to send a few lucky winners to the 2012 Mandolin Farm Bluegrass Festival during Labor Day weekend, Aug. 31-Sept. 2.

The event is a fun-filled weekend with Bluegrass music on a 60-acre farm in the heart of Fleming County.

More than 15 bands including Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, Joe Mullins and The Radio Ramblers, Nothin’ Fancy, Billie Renee and Cumberland Gap, Shadow Ridge, Heart Town, Sammy Adkins and The Sandy Hook Mountain Boys, Mountain Melody, Dover Creek and Wildwood Valley Boys will perform. Host band for the weekend will be Mandolin Farm’s Weary Jammers.

Register to win a one-day pass ($30 value) or a weekend pass ($85 value) good for one person during the 2012 Mandolin Farm Bluegrass Festival (www.facebook.com/mandolinfarm).

The Mandolin Farm Bluegrass Festival is located off Route 32 and just four miles from Flemingsburg, on a farm with fishing, children’s playground and a covered pavilion near the stage area. The farm also features golf cart trails, nearly 300 campsites with water and electric hook-ups, shower house, free firewood for campers and 24-hour on-site security.

Contest entries by phone, fax or social media (Facebook and Twitter) will not be accepted and a person must be at least 18 to enter. Limit one registration per household. MSPR reserves the right to refuse any contest entries.

The deadline for entries is 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27. The prize drawing will be held during classical music and the winners will be notified by phone on the same day.

Morehead State Public Radio employees and their families, MSPR Community Advisory Board members and associates of MSPR are not eligible for this contest.
