Charles Otis Collins, 61, of Prestonsburg, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at his residence.

Born Oct. 5, 1950, in Floyd County, to Otis “Buddy” and Olive Fern Hatfield Collins, he was an Army veteran in Vietnam and a shoe repairman.

He is survived by his brothers, Billy Gene Collins, Phillip Edward Collins, Paul Douglas Collins, Michael Landon Collins, Roger Dale Collins and Anderson Shannon Collins, all of Prestonsburg, and sister, Olive Ann Osborne, of Johnson County.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John Graham Collins, and sisters, Wanda Lee Messer, Carol Lynn Collins and Dinah Gayle Collins.

Funeral services for Charles Otis Collins will be held at noon, Saturday, August 4, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with James Stephens and Tom Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Collins Family Cemetery, at Conley Fork, Spurlock.

Visitation will be held all day Friday, at the funeral home.
