Charles Brekenridge “Red” Horn, 73, of Weeksbury, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at his residence.

He was born May 5, 1939, to the late John and Bessie Moore Horn. He was the husband of the late Celina Jean Bates Horn.

Charles was a retired coal miner and veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Gladys Tendagolski, and five brothers, Homer Horn, Red Horn, Clarence Horn, Jimmy Horn and Otto Horn.

He is survived by his sons, Terry Dean Horn and Charles Horn Jr., both of Weeksbury; daughters, Pam Horn Hall, of Dayton, Ohio, and Michelle Horn, of Eastern; grandchildren, Christopher, Courtney, Amanda and Kristen; and great-grandchildren, Alex, Brooklyn, and Jacob.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 3, at Joppa Old Regular Baptist Church, at Melvin. Burial will follow the service at Buckingham Cemtery, at Bevinsville.

Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, of Martin, is in charge of arrangements.
