ALLEN - The Kinzer Motorsports team visited the Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama on Saturday night (July 28) for the 15th Annual ‘Michael Head Jr. Memorial.’ The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) attracted a strong 31-car field for the feature race. Brandon Kinzer qualified third fastest in SAS time trials, which locked him into the inside of the second row for the $3,500-to-win feature event. During the course of the A-Main, Kinzer ran as high as second before finishing fourth in the final rundown behind only winner Randy Weaver, Tim Busha and Jason Hiett.Kinzer has spent 17 years in racing. In 2011, Kinzer won a Tennessee Super Series feature race at Winchester Speedway and finished first in an unsanctioned event at the Talladega Short Track. At only 17 years old, Kinzer made the starting field in the Dirt Track World Championship. He made the starting field in the World 100 in 2003. Kinzer made the starting field for the Dream 100 in 2003, 2005 and 2010.
