PAINTSVILLE - King’s Daughters Medical Specialties in Paintsville will conduct free joint pain screenings beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24 at their office — 313 West St., Suite 2.

Joint pain is extremely common: as many as one-third of adults report having experienced joint pain in the past 30 days. Causes include arthritis, bursitis, gout, strains, sprains, normal wear and tear, aging and other injuries.

King’s Daughters physical therapists will conduct the non-invasive screenings, which will include an exam of the affected joint (knee, shoulder, hip, back, elbow and other joints). King’s Daughters orthopedic surgeon Kevin Kulwicki, M.D., and rehabilitation physician Scott Akers, M.D., will discuss evaluation results and make recommendations.

Appointments are required by calling 1-888-377-KDMC (5362).
