Crider brothers compete at two tracks

DWALE - Kart-racing brothers Christian and Cameron Crider competed at a pair of tracks over the weekend. The brothers ventured to Wheelersburg Raceway in Ohio on Friday night and competed at D&K Raceway in Clay County Saturday. Each of the racers fared well.
On Friday night, Christian raced in the Blue Plate class. He finished third in Heat 1 and second in Heat 2. Following a tire change, Christian won the Blue Plate feature race. Cameron also finished strong, passing on the last lap to claim second in the Blue Plate class.
The brothers and 90-plus other racers were in action at the Clay County track on Saturday. D&K Raceway hosted 93 karts on an action-packed night.
Christian competed in the super-fast restricted 12-15 class, which featured 13 karts. He qualified sixth and finished seventh in the heat race. Christian also finished seventh in the feature.
Cameron qualified third in the rookie class and fourth in his heat race. He came on strong in the feature and almost had the second spot secured before finishing third.
