Vivian Yvonne Tackett, age 89, of Martin, widow of Stafford Edward Tackett, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Saint Joseph Hospital, in Lexington.

She was born August 5, 1922, in Justiceville (Shelbiana), a daughter of the late David Montgomery and Loretta Justice Hutchinson. Vivian was a retired School Teacher in the Floyd County School System for 34 years, a member of the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Martin.

She is survived by a son, Stafford Edward “Butch” Tackett Jr., of Lexington; a daughter, Loretta Ann Reed, of Martin; two grandchildren, Stacie Capozziello and Andrew Jackson “Trey” Reed III; and two great grandchildren, Christine Capozziello and Jackson Reed.

In addition to her parents and husband, Vivian was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Mitchell Hutchinson, Jack Talmadge Hutchinson and Rodney Eugene Hutchinson; a half-brother, Garland Hutchinson; and a grandchild, John Reed.

Funeral services for Vivian Yvonne Tackett will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 14, in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, in Martin, with the Elders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, at Ivel. Visitation will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the funeral home.
