Anglish Delmond “Dee” Sturgill, age 90 of Harold, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012, at the Community Hospice Center, in Ashland.

He was a retired Columbia Gas employee and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1939. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy.

Dee was born March 26, 1922, in Pikeville, the son of the late Edgar Kimble and Grace Bainard Sturgill.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.

He is survived by two daughters, Carla Burchett, of Prestonsburg, and Carolyn Sue Lowe and her husband George, of Florida.

He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Anglish Delmond “Dee” Sturgill will take place at 1 p.m., Monday, June 25, in the Sturgill Cemetery, at Toler, with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints officiating. Burial will immediately follow.
