Hazel Hamilton, 90, of Grethel, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at her residence.

She was born June 1, 1922, to the late Charlie and Minnie Howell Evans. She was the wife of the late Cecil Hamilton. She was a housekeeper and a member of the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church, at Teaberry.

She was preceded in death by a son, Lester Hamilton, and her brothers and sisters, Ed Evans, Raymond Evans, Butler Evans, Earl Evans, Verlie Hall and Ethel Williams.

She is survived by a son, Donald (Lois) Hamilton, of Grethel; two daughters, Glenna (Larry) Tackett and Emogene and John Handshoe, both of Grethel; brother, Kenis Evans, of Grethel; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 15, at Zion Old Regular Baptist Church, at Grethel. Burial will follow the service at Hamilton Cemetery.
