Francis M. Pigman Banks, 92, of Raven, died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Highlands Regional Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 24, 1919, to the late Mallie and Mary Elizabeth Slone Pigman. She was the wife of the late Johnnie Banks. She was a homemaker and a member of the Case Fork Old Regular Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Everet Pigman, John B. Pigman, Leroy Pigman, Dingus Pigman, Kenis Pigman, Rita Watts, Imojean Lafferty, Ena Mills, Dallas Pridemore and Goldie Bradley.

She is survived by two daughters, Darlene Pigman, of Hindman, and Julie Banks, of Raven; three grandchildren, Rita Slone, Sarah Craft and Jessica Craft; a grandson, Caden; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 12, at Caney Fork Old Regular Baptist Church, at Raven. Burial followed the service at Pigman and Slone Cemetery in Raven.
