Burle Dean Fairchild, 78, of Prestonsburg, widow of Richard Fairchild, died June 9, 2012, at her home.

Born May 26, 1934, in Martin, to the late Lee and Celcia Dillon, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by a son, Ricky Fairchild, of Prestonsburg; a daughter, Rosie (Jim) Ratliff, of Prestonsburg; a sister, Gladys Dillon, of Prestonsburg; two grandchildren, April Ratliff and Michael Ratliff; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Sam and Dallas, and four sisters, June Collins, Newteem Dillon, Birdie Dillon and May Hale.

Funeral services for Burle Dean Fairchild will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, with Bill Collins officiating. Burial will follow at the Dillon Cemetery, at Sugar Loaf, in Prestonsburg.

Visitation will take place after 6 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
