Alice Diann Pelphrey Johnson, of Allen, went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2012, following an extended illness. At the time of her passing she was surrounded by her loving family at the Pikeville Medical Center.

Ms. Johnson was born in Paintsville on August 20, 1953, to John R and Minervia Davis Pelphrey.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Robert) Nellipowitz; a granddaughter, Paige Nellipowitz; and three brothers, Dr. Al Pelphrey, of Pikeville, Glen Pelphrey, of Garretsville, Ohio, and Joe David Pelphrey, of Middleburg, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her father, John R. Pelphrey; a brother, Bennie Allen Pelphrey; and grandparents, Johnny and Mattie Lemaster Davis and Leona Pelphrey Sturgill.

Diann was a member of the Little Paint Church of God, at East Point, and a member and past President of The Women of the Church of God. She was employed as Office Manager by Dr. Al Pelphrey, Pediatric Dentistry Pikeville.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 8, 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, June 9, noon to 9 p.m., at the Little Paint Church of God, at East Point. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 10, at the church, under the direction of Preston Funeral Home, of Paintsville.

We are confident that Heaven has welcomed a new angel with the arrival of our Mom, Daughter, Sister, Nana.
