Harry Vernon Turner, 86, of Wheelwright, husband of Louearta Mollette Turner, died April 22, 2012, at his residence.
Born April 10, 1926, at Minnie, to the late Frank and Birdie Mosley Turner, he was a disabled coal miner.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Lovone Williams, of Waynesfield, Ohio, Linda Gale Rowe, of Weeksbury, and Diane (Rick) Johnson, of Wheelwright; two brothers, Orville “Chick” (Dixie) Turner, of Prestonsburg, and Carl (Ruth) Turner, of Waterville, Ohio; three grandchildren, Scott (Wendy) Williams, Tommy (Anita) Rowe and Jamey Johnson; and three great grandchildren, Logan Gunner Williams, Paige Marie Williams and Matthew Alan Johnson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Novis Turner, and a sister, Juanita Stumbo.
Funeral services for Harry Vernon Turner will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 25, at Wheelwright Freewill Baptist Church, in Wheelwright, with Louis Ferrari officiating. Burial will follow in the Stumbo Cemetery, at Minnie. Visitation will be held after 6 p.m., Tuesday, at the church.
