Gary Dwayne Short, 35, of Lexington, formerly of Mousie, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at his residence.

Born Jan. 20, 1977, at Hindman, to Gary Randall Short and the late Loberta Conley Short, he was a respiratory therapist.

In addition to his father, he is survived by a son, Caleb Short, of Morehead; a daughter, Autumn Short, of Morehead; a sister, Crystal Michelle Short (Tracy Gore), of Chapmanville, W.Va.; a girlfriend, Kay Taylor; a grandmother, Rosalee Short, of Mousie; a nephew, Charles Short; and a host of family, friends, aunts and uncles.

Services for Gary Dwayne Short were held Saturday, April 14, at Mousie 1st Baptist Church, with Clyde “Bud” Walker officiating. Burial followed at the Short Family Cemetery, at Mousie.

Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, of Hindman, was in charge of arrangements.
