LOUISA — A Floyd County resident was arrested earlier this week in Lawrence County on drug charges, after getting caught in an undercover sting.

According to the Kentucky State Police, officers arrested Maria Keathley, 39, of Banner, Thursday afternoon in Louisa, after Keathley allegedly tried to buy narcotics from an undercover officer. Police allege Keathley tried to purchase several Oxycontin pills from the officer.

KSP officials say Keathley was also in possession of several hydrocodone pills and a large amount of cash.

Keathely was arrested and charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

Det. Ben Cramer was the investigating officer.
