Stewart and Evelena Osborne are upset about a string of thefts at their son Anthony’s grave at Newman Cemetery, at Hi Hat, and now they’re hoping to do something about it.

Over the years, they say thieves have taken flowers, solar lights and other tributes they have left at the gravesite. Most recently, the couple placed a University of Kentucky-themed wreath at the cemetery Feb. 12. Days later, it was gone.

The Osbornes have filed a report with the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, and now they are offering a $50 reward for information that results in the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for stealing the wreath.

Anyone with information about the theft can call Evelena Osborne at (606) 226-0326 or her sister, Elliouse Branham, at (606) 452-2473.
