ALLEN - Following a rare weekend off from Dirt Late Model racing, Brandon Kinzer and his No. 18 team are set to compete in a pair of area events this weekend.
On Saturday, the O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Series will invade 201 Speedway in nearby Sitka and Brandon Kinzer and raceteam will be present - looking to put the No. 18 Late Model up at the front of the feature race. A $3,000 top prize will be up for grabs Saturday night at the Johnson County track in the 30-lap feature event.
For the Brandon Kinzer Motorsports raceteam and other many area dirt track units, the action will then turn to the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio, Sunday evening. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will sanction a $10,000-to-win race at the storied southern Ohio facility Sunday. The exciting, wheel-to-wheel action will be capped off with a 50-lap feature event, one of the biggest of the season at the Portsmouth track.
Kinzer has a runner-up finish and three third-place efforts to his credit this season. Brandon Kinzer Motorsports has already raced in some of the nation's biggest Late Model events this year.
